Xingzheng Zhang

He is currently an Associate Professor in the School of Microelectronics and Communication Engineering, Chongqing University. He received the B.Eng degree in autocontrol from Wuhan University of Technology (Wuhan, China) in 1999, the M.Eng degree in signal and information processing from Beijing Institute of Environment Characteristic (Beijing, China) in 2002, and the Ph.D degree in communication and information system from Communication University of China (Beijing, China) in 2009. During undergraduate period, he also concurrently studied in Wireless Communication department of Northeastern University, P. R. China.From July 2002 to September 2010, he was with the Division of Microwave Research, Beijing Institute of Environment Characteristic as an engineer. He joined the School of Microelectronics and Communication Engineering, Chongqing University (China) in October 2010. He was a Visiting Scholar at Lancaster University (UK) from September 2019 to September 2020.

His research interests include remote sensing image processing, computer vision, artificial intelligence and machine learning. Dr. Zhang has authored/co-authored more than 50 journal and conference papers in his research areas. He has been the Principal Investigator of more than 10 research projects.He is a member of The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and a member of China Association for Artificial Intelligence.

His research interests include remote sensing image processing, computer vision, artificial intelligence and application, and machine learning algorithm. His current research works focus on remote sensing image understanding via machine learning, and new approaches for computer vision.
