On September 2, 2021, professor Zhou Xichuan, head of the Institute of Cerebral Research, led a team to visit the Cancer Hospital affiliated to Chongqing University to investigate the layout of the research projects of the cancer hospital and discuss the cooperation in personnel training and research projects.  Professor Zhou, Professor Li Yongming, Associate Professor Liu Xiao and Associate Professor Liu Tao were warmly received by Xu Bo, president of the cancer Hospital, and attended a discussion with leaders of relevant departments of the hospital.  

During the discussion, Professor Zhou Xichuan said that the Brain-like Research Institute, as an important component of strategic scientific and technological force in the new era, shoulders the major needs of the country and the mission of people's life and health. In order to accelerate the research of intelligent oncology and promote the integration of medical and industrial disciplines,  To give full play to the technological advantages of the Institute of Brain-like Perception and Universal Intelligence science of Chongqing University in artificial intelligence and the resource platform advantages of Chongqing Cancer Hospital, carry out research on intelligent tumor auxiliary diagnosis and treatment, and decide to establish an inter-hospital exchange and cooperation relationship with chongqing University Affiliated Cancer Hospital.  

The two sides will have a strategic discussion on various issues, and the Institute will actively communicate with relevant departments of the Tumor Hospital affiliated to Chongqing University to jointly promote the implementation of bilateral cooperation.  Chongqing University will actively invest discipline strength and teaching and research resources in combination with key work needs of brain-like laboratory research and talents, so as to deepen cooperation and achieve common development.  The cancer hospital will fully play the role of bridge for the cooperation between the two sides, and strongly support the smooth development of talent introduction and sharing, joint training of doctoral students and other work.
